My Approach
I apply different aspects of my training and experience depending on what we might decide is useful. My initial training was in psycho-dynamic psychotherapy (which focus’s more on our past attachments). As a systemic psychotherapist I am able use this underpinning to support your connection with yourself as well as with all your social relationships.
Sessions last from 50 mins to 1 hour long, and usually start off as weekly. We decide together, with regular reviews, how long we might want to work together, but usually work is between 6-12 sessions long.
Professional Membership and Ethics
I am registered as a psychotherapist with United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am also a member of the Association of Family Therapists (AFT).
I abide by the code of ethics for both professional bodies. I am also fully insured, and receive regular consultation and continuing professional development, as required by UKCP and AFT.
